Pride Shabbat Services
Friday, June 7, at 8pm

Start Pride weekend with our special Friday Night Pride Service led by Rabbi Lisa Edwards, Cantor Juval Porat and special guests Cantor Tifani Coyot and pianist/BCC member Francois Chouchan. Newly ordained Rabbi D’ror Chankin-Gould will give the drash, entitled And the Earth Opened Its Mouth: Queer Meditations on Pride and Humility in 2013. Join us in words and song as we celebrate our community!

Interfaith Pride Worship Service
Sunday, June 9, 10:15am – 11:00am
La Cienega & Santa Monica Blvds. (meet in front of CVS)

BCC’s Rabbi Lisa Edwards will co-lead a brief interfaith service and Cantor Juval Porat will sing, as a kick-off to Sunday’s Christopher Street West – LA Pride Festival.  This Annual Interfaith Pride Service brings together people of various faiths and traditions to share in the beauty and sacredness of Queerfolk. Sponsored by Los Angeles Queer Interfaith Clergy Council.

The BCC Film Club’s selection for Pride Weekend
Sunday June 9, at 3pm. 

BCC’s film club is an exciting new addition to BCC programming. Bi-monthly film screenings at BCC will either have an LGBT and/or Jewish content theme. There will be an introduction on the cultural importance and impact of the featured film, when it was initially released. Screenings are followed by a discussion on the film’s timelessness  or relevance in today’s world. This program is free, and open to members and non-members.
