High Holy Days

Days of Awe with BCC 5774/2013

  • The deadline for online ticket purchases has passed.  But, you can still purchase tickets at the door (Temple Isaiah) just prior to services.

Our Jewish tradition invites each of us to ask at every moment “what does God want of me?” The eternal everlasting is paired with the contemporary ever-changing. Each year the Days of Awe challenge us anew. What are my obligations? What are the obligations of my people? Where have I fallen? How do we rise? What do I leave behind from yesteryear? What do I call upon to give me strength to face tomorrow? Every year at BCC, our annual gathering for the Days of Awe provides us the opportunity to question ourselves as individuals, and as a community, to take account of who we are now, how we got here, and where we want to go tomorrow. Please join us on this journey.

Our Days of Awe services will be led by Rabbi Lisa Edwards and Cantor Juval Porat and our always inspiring choir.

Rabbi Heather Miller will be leading the Family Services, and our Telephone Minyan, led by Bracha Yael, will offer a service on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Please invite your friends and family members to share these Days of Awe with you and your community. We will extend our warmest welcome to all who would like to join us. We wish you a Shana Tovah, a good year, one filled with sweetness and health. We look forward to praying with you during the 5774 Days of Awe.
