Join us for a uniquely LGBTQ commemoration as #QUEERemember October 7.

Nearly one year after the single largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, many of us are still reeling. As LGBTQ people and allies, we have experienced unique marginalization, and we have supported each other as only our community can.

As we mark this somber anniversary, we recognize that it is imperative for us to stand together as a united LGBTQ community.

Please join us on October 7 at 2:00 PM ET as we hear from LGBTQ Israeli survivors, raise our voices in song and prayer, mourn those lost, and learn how we can continue to celebrate and uplift our LGBTQ community one year on. During the commemoration, Rabbi Jillian Cameron will lead Kaddish, the Jewish prayer of remembrance, for those massacred on October 7.

Join JFEDLA, StandWithUs, Israeli American Council, Temple of the Arts, and more than 75 other community organizations and synagogues as we bring together Jewish Los Angeles to mark the one-year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack on Israel. Together, we will hold the victims in our hearts, honor the resilience of the survivors, and stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, as we look toward a more hopeful future.

Beth Chayim Chadashim and Wilgefortis Press, will host a conversation about the queer, Mizrahi experience with authors, activists and influencers. Featuring speakers from Iraq and Iran, the conversation will explore the struggle and resilience of their immigrant and refugee experiences. This conversation will take place during Sukkot, the week-long Jewish holiday that celebrates hospitality and the fall harvest. The conversations seek to foster awareness of the needs of the queer, Mizrahi community.

“Keshet Konnection: a Conversation About the Queer, Mizrahi Experience” will take place at Beth Chayim Chadashim on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 6-7:30 p.m.
