📚 What is the Jewish Library Project? 📚 The Jewish Library Project is a direct response to the January 2025 wildfires that swept through southern California. Many families lost their entire homes, including their Jewish libraries and the Jewish Library Project seeks to help those families rebuild by providing Jewish Library “starter kits.” The Starter Kit - The Jewish Library Project “Starter Kits” consist of the essential Jewish books, including a Tanakh (Jewish Bible), a prayer book and a few other basic components of a modern Jewish library. Along with the Starter Kit, recipients are encouraged to select additional books from a range of other categories (history, philosophy, fiction, and much more) to ensure that their family has the literary start they need to begin to rebuild. The Starter Kits and the add-ons are entirely free to recipients and will be available for pick up starting after the High Holy Days.
